The research

The Centre of Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh conducts research into a breadth of different menstrual health conditions, as well as male and female reproductive health, and maternal and pregnancy health.

Francesca conducts her PhD research as part of the EXPPECT Edinburgh team, whose focus is endometriosis and pelvic pain. Francesca's PhD project is investigating the relationship between diet, the gut microbiome, and pain in people with endometriosis. She has recently published a review on the topic.
